With Vice President Vance on his way to Indiana to meet with the governor, I am writing today to voice my disagreement of any discussions concerning “redrawing discrict maps.” Despite what many of you may think about your constituents, we are not stupid. I have eyes and a brain, and given what Texas i attempting to do with gerrymandering more seats in Congress as a show of loyalty to Donald Trump, what they are doing is unconstitutional and unprecedented. You know it and I know it too.
Unfortunately, the state of Indiana has a terrible habit of following suit with the worst, most restrictive new laws presented in other deeply red states, forcing Hoosiers to constantly be the Guinea pigs for terrible Republican policies. Our state having the some of the most restrictive reproductive laws after following Florida’s lead on with a full abortion band on top of having one do the highest mother and infant mortality rates is just one of many prime examples. The governor offering to host a concentration camp to house the folks, including women and children, kidnapped by ICE is another. This “redistricting” talk is just the latest endeavor to further suppress and gerrymander votes in an already heavily red gerrymandered state. Why are you all so willing to stick your necks out for a pedophile whose name we all know is on the Epstein list? I thought Republicans were the party of family? Yet every chance your party gets, you all bow down and platform a pedophile. The Republican Party has fallen so far and has truly become a disgrace to this country. I’m not even proof reading this because y’all don’t deserve comprehensive conversations with your constituents. It’s not like you listen to us anyway and you’ll go on to do whatever gets you the most power and the most money at the sacrifice of the people you represent, yet claim that everything you’re doing is “for the American people.” I hope your pillow is always on the warm side and that you never have a good night’s sleep again.
