It seems you need another reminder that every Republican in Congress, every Republican in the Trump cabinet, every Republican who are Heads of Departments of governmental agencies, every single member of the Trump regime, work for us. Your job is to represent us, the people living in the United States. Your job is not to do the bidding of the president. You do not work for the president alone. You work for all of us. You took an oath to uphold and honor the Constitution. You did not take an oath to carry out only the president's alternative reality wishes. I know for a fact that you both know, as do 99.9% of the people in the Trump regime, that Trump lost the 2020 election. I know you know that that election was fair and it was not rigged. I know you know that blindly supporting whatever this President wants to happen is not the right thing to do nor is it the patriotic thing to do. I know you know that the president has lost all control of his mental faculties and is, quite literally, insane. I know you know that you are pushing racism and Nazism and Christian nationalism in this country, even though you may don't agree with it. What I don't know is why? Why are you so beholden to one man sitting in the Oval Office who is mentally ill? Why are you so beholden to one unhinged man who is using the presidency for two things and two things only: to stay out of jail and to grift money. What I would like to know, Senators, is how will you, your loved ones, your friends, and your neighbors benefit from you obeying the president's bidding? How are the American people going to benefit because you are cowards? Do you truly want to live in a Christian nationalist nation? Do you truly want to live under authoritarian rule? Are you racist? Are you Nazis? Are you sexists? If your answer to those questions is a resounding NO, then it is time to stop being cowards and start standing up to the president, upholding your oath to the Constitution, and providing checks and balances on the executive branch. In short, it is time to start doing your jobs. Everyday we watch as you all lose a bit more of your human decency, your morals, your integrity, and your legacy. Every day we watch as the most dysfunctional, unorganized members of Congress refuse to govern and do the jobs you were elected to do. And that is why the American people are angry. It is why Trump's poll numbers continue to fall every single week across every category. You should learn a lesson from this, Senators. Start working for us instead of against us. Trump wouldn't be so panicked about the 2026 midterms if the Republicans were actually doing a good job. Trump's speech last night was a disaster. It was lies, gaslighting, propaganda and full of his usual conspiracy theories and old grievances. Trump sounded ridiculous. He sounded even more physically ill than usual. With the exception of his small number of MAGA supporters, his speech last night did nothing to make Americans move to his "side" and start believing in his fantasy world. Quite the opposite actually. Trump is weak and desperate. Do your jobs, Senator. It shouldn't be so difficult to do your jobs.
