I’m writing to demand that immediate action is taken to stop DOGE and Postmaster General DeJoy’s plan to fire 10,000 workers from the USPS, and any other moves towards privatizing the USPS. This would jeopardize mail-in voting, veterans’ jobs, and the public’s ability to receive affordable mail service and may even cut parts of the country off from mail service completely. There are people living at the bottom of the Grand Canyon who are able to receive their mail on horse back because of the USPS requirement to serve all communities. We need a postal service that remains independent, staffed at full capacity, and accesible to all Americans.
