I am writing to you about house bill 249. I strongly dissaprove of the addition of section 4av and 4avi. Gender non conformity is not at all harmful to the development or psyche of minor individuals. As a minor who has been to a wide variety of music shows, I can attest that being in a crowd with gender non conforming people and performers feels no less safe than around other crowds - and in some cases i feel safer than with the latter. I also believe that the section 4avi is not specific enough and prurience is a matter of opinion. This section must be amended for more specificity. Parents should have the right to choose whether something is too prurient or age appropriate, not the government. Thank you for your time and please oppose this bill in its current form.
