The recent push to allow oxide mining in the boundary waters is a gross overstep and an abuse of an obscure law. We need to fight tooth and nail to prevent this. Stop playing nice. This type of mining ALWAYS leads to heavy metal and other types of pollution. This could have ramifications for all of Minnesota. That's not even getting into the fact that this is a foreign company that has no interest in keeping our wilderness clean. They will then ship the products overseas, poisoning our state with absolutely no gain for those of us that live here.
