No to Budgets that Slash Medicaid and SNAP—funds or services or staff!
To: Rep. Kean
From: A verified voter in Lambertville, NJ

You’ve heard me say this before, but since your actions don’t support your words, I will keep writing on this topic. I absolutely oppose Republicans’ plans to make cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, educational assistance, the ACA, and housing assistance, all in order to pay for trilions of dollars in tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans and corporations. It’s sickening that they’re even considering it. I expect Congressmember Kean to vote no on any budgets that cut these services and agencies.
And please don’t tell me that the words “Medicaid” or “SNAP” aren’t written anywhere in the bill. I understand the way budget resolutions work and I also understand that Republicans can’t find 1.5 trillion dollars in cuts without gutting those programs. Your voters aren’t stupid and we see exactly what Republicans are doing. Don’t gaslight us. Thanks.
