Veto anti-immigrant bill

To: Gov. Stein

From: A constituent in Durham, NC

May 19

I am writing to urge you to veto the anti-immigrant bill passed by the General Assembly. North Carolina needs to support our immigrant communities, not attack them. Immigrants create jobs, pay taxes regardless of their status and contribute to the communities they live in. Immigrants make our state and our country stronger, we need to support them and protect them from the hateful, xenophobic and illegal attacks coming not just from the Republicans in N.C. but from the Trump administration and Republicans nationally. Please do the right thing, Governor Stein, veto this and any anti-immigrant legislation.
