President Trump is attempting to commandeer state and local police to do his bidding through federal task forces, with local police serving as the foot soldiers. These task forces target and monitor activists, detain protestors and rapid responders who work to keep their community safe, and use racial profiling and traffic stops as an excuse to transfer people to ICE. California cops should be required to follow state laws, even when working with federal law enforcement on task forces.  SB 1105 passed the California Senate on May 27, 2026. I urge you to act now and vote YES on SB 1105.
