The use of a consumer app to discuss sensitive information is a clear threat to our national security. Whether the information was technically classified or not is irrelevant. North Carolina is a military state. Our citizens put their lives on the line in service to this country and they deserve better than to have their jobs made more dangerous by the mistakes of unqualified leadership. As your constituent, I demand that you take action. There needs to be a full, NONPARTISAN investigation into the use of the Signal app and those responsible for this breach of protocol should be held accountable.
