Restore TPS Protections: Pass Legislation to Override the Supreme Court Ruling
To: Rep. Moore, Sen. Curtis, Sen. Lee

June 30
Pass legislation now to restore Temporary Protected Status for Haitians and all other TPS holders. The Supreme Court's recent ruling contradicts the plain text of the law Congress wrote, and it is Congress's job to make that unmistakably clear by fixing it in statute. The Court does not get to rewrite what you passed.
TPS holders are not abstractions. They are healthcare workers, home health aides, and essential workers filling critical roles that are desperately short-staffed. Haitian TPS holders in particular have built lives, careers, and families here over decades. Stripping their status does not solve a single problem this country faces — it creates new ones by gutting a workforce that communities depend on.
Congress created TPS. Congress can defend it. I want to see you introduce or co-sponsor legislation that codifies TPS protections into law and removes any ambiguity the Court exploited. The time for waiting is over.
