I commend you for co-sponsoring a request to maintain strong funding the NIH in the coming year. My mother died from breast cancer, and I am a breast cancer survivor… My children both have a genetic mutation which increases their risk for cancer. I have always taken for granted that our country would support medical research and I have been appalled and dismayed by the relentless cuts to grants and life-saving research. Thank you for your commitment and support of the NIH.
