Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes is defending one of our most basic American principles: no taxation without representation. The fifty-six signers of the Declaration of Independence risked everything because colonists were taxed by a Parliament in which they had no representation. Our founders fought a revolution over this principle. It is foundational to American democracy. This is about the Constitution. This is exactly what our founders fought for. While this is a federal matter, Arizona officials can act. Pass a resolution backing AG Mayes' action, speak out publicly, or use your platforms to defend constitutional representation for the 813,000 citizens of Arizona's 7th Congressional District.
