Don’t be a coward, host a town hall
To: Rep. Crane
From: A constituent in Flagstaff, AZ
March 13
I’m calling because I know Congress is on recess next week and I want to attend the Representative’s town hall. But it seems you are holding one. I’m extremely disappointed to hear that. You won’t come meet with your constituents face to face. Why are you afraid to explain your votes? Instead you send staffer. What a cop out. America is in crisis—prices are skyrocketing, the stock market is crashing, economists are saying a recession is likely, Republicans are about to shut down the government, Trump is gutting the Board of Education, and Elon Musk is attacking Social Security and Veterans’ health. It’s unacceptable to avoid your constituents at a time like this. I want to hear from you—why you support taking away my Social Security, money I’ve invested in the country since my first job. I’m 70 years old! I also want to hear from you why I don’t deserve health care. Ask the Representative to schedule an in-person Town Hall right away or expect to lose his job. Thank you.
