Nick Lichtenberg of Fortune: the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” have “drastically shortened the financial life spans of both Medicare and Social Security, accelerating their paths toward insolvency.” As you know, the Congressional Budget Office updated their projections in Monday, stating the Medicare trust fund will run dry in 2040, 12 years sooner than they had projected this past May, before massive tax cuts for billionaires were made permanent. Meanwhile Trump’s SOTU gave us a clue about what’s coming (hint: lies about fraud; continued lies that it’s the most vulnerable among us that are doing the damage). Stop scapegoating immigrants and poor people. Republican policies, grift and lies and the REAL waste, fraud and abuse.
