Representative Mary Miller has introduced the Shielding Children's Retinas from Egregious Exposure on the Net (SCREEN) Act, which is nothing more than an attack on free speech and an attempt to silence all LGBTQIA2S+ people. The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention has issued a red flag warning for the ongoing genocide of trans people in the United States, and this is a huge part of it. It would erase us from the Internet, making it illegal for us to so much as talk about our life experiences or immutable conditions of our birth. This is discriminatory, bigoted, incredibly dangerous genocidal legislation attempting to classify trans and queer people as “pornographic” simply for existing. Please fight this bill with everything you have.
