Protect Workers' Rights to Organize and Bargain Collectively Stop attacking unions. They are the single most effective tool working people have ever had to protect themselves from exploitation, and every legislative move to weaken them is a move against your own constituents. Unions gave us the 40-hour workweek, child labor laws, workplace safety standards, and employer-provided healthcare. People literally died for those rights. That is not hyperbole. When unions are strong, wages rise across entire industries, not just for members. When they're gutted, corporations pocket the difference while workers end up on SNAP. Walmart is a perfect example: one of the most profitable companies on earth, with employees who qualify for public assistance because there's no union to demand a living wage. Taxpayers subsidize that gap. Stand with workers. Defend the right to organize and collective bargaining, and oppose any legislation that strips those protections away.
