This summer I had the absolute honor to go to not one but three national parks. They are truly a national treasure. They are also an economic boon to both the areas they are located and the country as a whole. Which is why it is so devastating to hear about the damage the Trump administration is doing, needlessly, to Big Bend National Park. Law enforcement from near the area have stated that there is little in the way of border crossings and no evidence that the destruction to the park is needed. This is theft from the American people and our children and our children’s children. This is disgusting. And beyond that, Trump is stealing money from the park service that should be spent on parks and instead spending it on vanity projects for himself. You have the power of the purse. Rein in his illegal spending.
