Investigate OPM spokesperson Pinover for unethical influencer activities

To: Sen. Graham, Rep. Biggs, Sen. Scott

From: A constituent in Anderson, SC

March 12

The actions of OPM spokesperson McLaurine Pinover in filming fashion influencer videos from her government office while overseeing mass layoffs of federal workers raise serious ethical concerns. Utilizing public resources and government property for personal business ventures appears to violate federal regulations prohibiting the use of such resources for private gain. This conduct is especially egregious given Pinover's role in defending workforce reductions under the auspices of promoting efficiency and accountability within the federal government. I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate disciplinary action if Pinover is found to have improperly used her position for private profit. Government employees must be held to the highest standards of ethical conduct, and such blatant conflicts of interest that undermine public trust cannot be tolerated. Pinover's prioritization of her social media influencer activities over her core responsibilities calls into question her ability to serve the best interests of the American people. Immediate steps should be taken to address this unacceptable situation and reaffirm that public service demands dedication to the duties of one's office above all else.
