Free School Lunches

To: Rep. Diaz, Sen. Gowan, Gov. Hobbs, Rep. Griffin

From: A constituent in Vail, AZ

April 23

I am a constituent in Vail, Arizona. I am writing to urge you to fund free breakfast and lunch in Arizona’s public schools. Throughout Arizona, there are children whose nutrition needs are not being met. Through no fault of their own, thousands of children go hungry every day. It is our responsibility as a civilized society to ensure that every child has a full stomach. Additionally, this benefits the public, as children with full bellies are more prepared to learn and advance their futures, thus advancing the wellbeing of everyone across our state. Nine states have implemented free school lunches for all schoolchildren. Let’s make Arizona the tenth state to do the right thing in this regard. Together we can make a huge difference in the lives of Arizona’s children, families, and society as a whole by funding school lunches for every public school child in the state. I eagerly await your reply. Thank you for your consideration!
