Block Tulsi Gabbard's Dangerous Nomination as Intelligence Director
To: Sen. Kelly, Sen. Sinema
From: A constituent in Flagstaff, AZ
December 17
The nomination of Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence is deeply concerning. Her troubling alignment with dictators like Bashar al-Assad and Vladimir Putin, her denial of Assad's use of chemical weapons against civilians, and her echoing of Kremlin propaganda about the Ukraine war raise serious doubts about her ability to serve American interests objectively. Gabbard has demonstrated a disturbing pattern of instinctively trusting hostile regimes over the United States and its allies. Placing someone with such misguided loyalties in charge of America's intelligence apparatus would be an unacceptable risk to national security. Her nomination must be blocked to protect the integrity of our intelligence community and uphold our nation's core values of democracy and human rights. We cannot allow an individual who has cozied up to brutal dictatorships to have oversight of our intelligence agencies.
