Pass the bill extending Temporary Protected Status for the 350,000 Haitians living in this country now, before the Supreme Court's decision forces their removal. Also write legislation to protect the 4,000 - 6,000 Syrian TPS holders. These are people who have built lives, raised families, and contributed to our communities. Stripping that protection is a choice, and Congress has the power to make a different one. This year we mark 250 years of American freedom. Deporting hundreds of thousands of people who came here seeking safety is not the legacy this moment calls for — it is a stain we will not be able to wash out. The bill is there. The votes can be found. Do your job and pass it.
