You must not grant additional war powers to attack Iran. The justifications from the administration change hourly and they have no plan. Yet they have created havoc in the region.
This administration is setting a terrible precedent for foreign nations and indiscriminate bombing to force a leadership change. What if Russia feels the US is good for a leadership change and bombs the White House or Mar-a-logo? Would that be an acceptable outcome based on the current rules of engagement.
I too feel that the Iran regime was autocratic, supported terrorism, and targeted civilians. Once again the president declared war on another nation on his own without authorization from Congress.
Many service personnel in our armed forces already died and we lost multiple helicopters. There are multiple reports that bombs destroyed a school and killed nearly 200 civilians. President Trump weakened our ability to defend itself, exposed us and our allies to attacks in the Gulf, strengthened Russia’s hand through higher oil prices, and showed that while undergoing negotiations on Friday we can’t be trusted.
You can fix it. Return our troops home.
