Despite what Trump and his cronies think, the 14th amendment provides citizenship to those born on US soil. If the writers didn’t not intend it to apply to every baby born on US soil, they would not have written it the way they did. Fighting over the meaning and accepted meaning of a constitutional amendment over 150 years old is distracting from what should be the real priority of Congress: stopping Trump’s illegal war and tariffs. Vote NO on the Anchors Away Act.
