I am dismayed by the Supreme Court's refusal to revoke Donald Trump's immunity from lawsuits related to the January 6th insurrection. This decision undermines accountability and sets a dangerous precedent that essentially places the president above the law. Trump's actions on that day represented an egregious dereliction of duty and assault on our democratic institutions. By allowing him to evade consequences, the Court is enabling further erosion of our system of checks and balances. I urge you to speak out forcefully against this miscarriage of justice and take concrete steps to prevent any president from abusing their power in this manner again.
