There are concerning indications of potential irregularities in the 2024 presidential election that warrant a thorough and transparent review. The recently released analysis by SMART Elections reveals an unexplained "drop-off" phenomenon, where a substantially higher number of votes were cast for the Republican presidential candidate compared to down-ballot Republican candidates across multiple states with diverse demographics. Crucially, in five of the six swing states examined, the number of "drop-off" votes exceeds the margin of victory. This pattern raises legitimate questions about the integrity of the electoral process and risks eroding public trust. While the root causes remain unclear, the possibility of errors or manipulation cannot be discounted given the well-documented vulnerabilities in voting systems and the theft of proprietary software that enables tampering. To safeguard the bedrock of our democracy, a comprehensive and impartial investigation into these irregularities is imperative. All states should undertake a rigorous public examination of voting machine source codes, audit logs, ballots, voter registration files, and all relevant election records. Only through such a transparent process, open to scrutiny, can we restore faith in our electoral system and ensure that every citizen's voice is heard and counted accurately.
