Climate change is real, and it is the most pressing challenge facing our country and planet. With a new administration in office, immediate, bold action is more essential than ever to protect our communities and safeguard our future. As your constituent, I am gravely concerned about the escalating climate disasters that continue to ravage our country. From record-breaking hurricanes and tornadoes to extreme heat waves and wildfires, our communities are suffering. The climate crisis is at our doorstep, threatening to leave permanent scars on our Earth if we fail to act decisively. The Inflation Reduction Act was a crucial, commendable step toward addressing climate change, but it is only the beginning. We cannot afford to lose momentum. Now is the time to double down on efforts to protect frontline communities, support working families, and ensure a livable future for generations to come. Young people, especially those from communities of color, will disproportionately bear the consequences of our inaction. I urge you to prioritize clean energy investments, create green jobs, promote climate-resilient affordable housing, and champion environmental justice. Please use every available resource to fight for comprehensive climate action that will secure a sustainable and just future for all.
