**Unless you’ve been asleep the past few days, you’re aware that the President announced that the U.S. will withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement. This announcement dismayed heads of state, climate activists, corporate executives, and some of his own staff who believe the U.S. should play a leadership role in battling climate change across the world, particularly since we’re the world’s second-largest commuter. **22 Senators Urged the President to Leave the Agreement
**It turns out that the President wasn’t alone in his desire to pull out of the accord. Here’s who they are:

**Meanwhile, 40 Democrats Urged the President to Stay in the Agreement
**Not surprisingly, many Democrats urged the President not to back out of the agreement. However, eight Democratic Senators neglected to sign — they are:

  • Joe Donnelly (D-IN)
  • Angus King (I-ME)*
  • Claire McCaskill (D-MO)
  • John Tester (D-MT)
  • Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND)
  • Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV)
  • Mark Warren (D-VA)
  • Joe Manchin (D-WV)

*Sen. King caucuses with the democrats.
