Noem, GOP take aim at women
Lesleigh Owen in the Rapid City Journal
by Chris Thomas
I was deeply disappointed that Rep. Noem joined other Republicans in passing the travesty of a health-care bill that jettisons pre-existing conditions and, worst of all, declares sexual assault a pre-existing condition. This is shameful. I am offended such provisions exist, let alone that my representative would sign on.
Rep. Noem has done her part to marginalize women and poor people. I can only hope my senators remember they represent me and other women who have experienced trauma and deserve treatment.
Please, Senators Thune and Rounds, remember you represent us, not the health-care industry. Vote against this shameful health-care bill.
