Of the three ballot measures before the people of Massachusetts, only one is directly relevant to the way elections are conducted.

Question 2

If passed, Question 2 would create a citizens commission for the express purpose of proposing and advocating for a US Constitutional Amendment overturning the Supreme Court’s decision in Citizens United.

Impact: Minor — It is difficult to imagine that this actually leads to a Constitutional Amendment but every effort has to start somewhere.
Support: Special Interest — The major parties have stayed out of this but Citizens United is a predominantly left-wing issue.
