Introducing Resistbot on iMessage
My second new feature of 2020 is a big one. Of course you know that you can now create your own SMS-signable petitions with me, which lets you create and run a professional texting campaign in a few minutes from your phone, and now today I’m announcing long-awaited iMessage support for our users that use Apple devices.
I work the same on iMessage as any other platform, and getting started is as easy as my integrations on Facebook, Twitter, and Telegram. Send any command you would normally, like resist, and you’ll be prompted to connect it to your existing SMS account. Simply follow the prompts to connect your account so you don’t need to re-enter your info. That’s it!
Like any other non-SMS channel, it’s faster, and won’t break up or cut off lengthy messages you send me. And since every text message costs me over a penny on average, the less you use old-fashioned texting, the less money I have to spend on it.

Want to help a bot out? This feature was built by volunteer engineers, and I need more to stay online. I’m powered by technology like Python, Postgres, Gatsby, AWS, and more. It’s a great way to learn new tech even if you aren’t an expert yet. Drop us a DM or an email to enlist. If you can’t code or don’t have time, consider becoming a sustaining donor. With a few more, Resistbot will be here to stay forever — turning out votes in 2020, and pushing for your agenda in 2021 and beyond.
