Regarding the Ongoing Situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bosnian Serb, Milorad Dodik, is threatening the safety and peace of Bosnians everywhere by threatening to reform the army of Republika Srpska and pull out of the tax administration and judiciary body. This echoes the same measures that Bosnian Serbs took in the '90s when some of the deadliest atrocities since WWII took place, including genocide, displacement, and ethnic "cleansing." Bosnia has experienced a war nearly every 50 years, meaning that no generation has ever known peace or the meaning of stability and rebuilding. Bosnia's crisis in the '90s was only made worse by international powers not stepping in quickly enough, and I fear it will be the same if action is not taken and Dodik is allowed to repeat history. Other leaders in Bosnia and surrounding countries have also expressed concerns about Dodik's plans.
I demand that we halt Dodik's efforts and take measures against the reformation of the Republika Srpska army and subsequent attempts at secession.
