Vote NO on the SAVE Act—Protect Every American’s Right to Vote

As your constituent, I urge you to vote NO on the SAVE Act and reject any attempt to attach it to any other legislation.
Congress should be focused on solving the real problems facing Americans: lowering housing costs, strengthening the economy, and helping working families. Instead, this bill creates unnecessary barriers that could prevent eligible American citizens from exercising one of their most fundamental constitutional rights.
Millions of eligible voters do not have immediate access to the documents this bill would require to register to vote. Married women whose legal names differ from their birth certificates, seniors, military families, rural Americans, people with disabilities, and low-income citizens could face significant obstacles through no fault of their own.
The right to vote is the cornerstone of our democracy. Congress should be protecting that right—not making it harder for eligible citizens to participate in our elections.
It does not matter whether this bill comes to the floor on its own, is attached to the National Defense Authorization Act, included in a reconciliation package, or added to any other must-pass legislation. The answer must remain the same: NO.
Your oath is to defend the Constitution and protect the rights of the American people. That includes ensuring every eligible citizen has a fair opportunity to vote.
Reject the SAVE Act in every form. Focus instead on legislation that lowers costs, expands opportunity, and strengthens our democracy—not bills that risk disenfranchising eligible American voters.
