An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Vote NO on Chris Klomp's Confirmation as HHS Deputy Secretary

326 so far! Help us get to 500 signers!

Today I’m writing to urge you to oppose the nominee Chris Klomp as Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services. While the Senate Finance Committee advanced his nomination 15-12, the full Senate vote must reflect sanity on this choice. The full vote is the last line of defense against placing a top RFK Jr. ally in one of the most powerful health policy positions in the country. I don’t need to tell you how harmful RFK Jr. has been giving voice to quacks, extremists and dangerous ant-vaxxer lunatics in our formerly gold standard health agency. Klomp will no doubt carry out the fringe policies of his boss, Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and further undermine public health institutions and vaccine confidence. Elevating Klomp to deputy secretary would entrench that dangerous and deadly agenda deeper into HHS operations. This is not a routine confirmation — it's a decision that will shape federal health policy for millions of Americans, and not in a good way. Vote NO. Thank you.
