End transfer of military weapons to police NOW.

I urge you to support the action brought by Senator Brian Schatz of Hawaii that seeks to introduce an amendment to the National Defense Authorization act to end the federal 10 3 3 program that facilitates the transfer of US military equipment and weapons to police departments. We must end the transfer of weapons of war into the hands of police departments. The fact the police departments must use this equipment within a year of getting it incentivizes them to use unnecessary force against peacefully protesting civilians. It is important for me that this is ended now. Thank you.
