Today's insurrection at the Capitol in Washington is a sad, terrifying, yet predictable result of the continued enablement of Donald Trump by Congressmen and Senators who have recklessly disregarded the logical outcomes of their blind allegiance to blatant falsehoods promoted by a madman.
It's is time that Republican leaders, encouraged by their Democratic counterparts to urge the president to resign and lacking that, immediately enlist his Cabinet to invoke the 25th amendment to remove this dangerous man from office before he takes this country over the cliff. He will stop at nothing and it should be noted that George W. Bush is calling this an insurrection.
All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men and women to do nothing.
