An open letter to State Governors & Legislatures

End Child Separation at the Border on day One of Joe Biden's Presidency

17 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

We need to end child separation at the border on day one of Joe Biden's Presidency. Joe Biden promised that he would be a more decent and humane president than Donald Trump. One of the most horrendous atrocities of the Trump Presidency was the policy of child separation at the border. Joe Biden must commit to ending the policy of child separation on day 1 of his presidency, and transition the U.S. border process into one which respects human rights. As a parent, I feel no child should be separated from their parents or family, as this can cause irreparable psychological damage. We have a duty and responsibility to treat ALL immigrants and asylum seekers humanly and with respect. What Donald Trump has done is revolting. These babies and their parents deserve decency. It is not illegal to seek a better life. This is the American Dream, isn't it? I'm asking for you hold Joe Biden accountable to his promises. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
