An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Raise the minimum wage

15 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

We need to raise the minimum wage. This article by David Brooks explains why: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/26/opinion/republican-disinformation.html?referringSource=articleShare As long as so many in our nation feel insecure economically, mistrust and division will continue to destroy our democracy. Republicans say that they value American workers. Let's put our money where our mouths are; raising the minimum wage raises all boats. Those at the bottom of the economy spend, rather than putting their money in overseas tax shelters. Spending boosts the economy. If you care about America, raise the minimum wage. Improve the economic outlook for struggling Americans.
