I'm writing to express my concern and ask for your involvement in what is unfolding in Minneapolis, Minnesota right now. I know the situation is not currently related directly to Missouri, but as my representative to the US government I ask that you would intervene. While our opinions on immigration and the deportation process may differ, I believe we can find common ground in our hope for a peaceful country in which to live and enjoy life with our family and friends. Allowing government officials with masked faces to have free reign to detain anyone they choose does not feel peaceful or safe to me. If this was occurring in Missouri I would be scared to continue living my normal life, and I worry the people of Minnesota feel the same. I urge you to use your influence in whatever way you are able to initiate change in the current process with these ICE officers and prevent this type of behavior from spreading to other areas of our country.
