Address Social Security in solvency now

To: Sen. Moreno, Sen. Husted, Rep. Taylor

From: A constituent in Loveland, OH

October 19

In 2032, Social Security will become insolvent. Nearly all senior citizens rely on Social Security to live, me included. Reductions in my Social Security are absolutely unacceptable, as I worked my entire adult life. It is time for you, as my elected representative, to address the problem. The best solution, and most fair solution is to tax all of a person’s income, not just to a certain amount. This solution will keep Social Security going, likely forever. The past two tax cuts, voted on under the Trump administration, advantaged the most wealthy individuals and corporations in our country, and did nothing for the poor or middle class. It is time to change that narrative, and start taxing the most wealthy. Frankly, they can afford it! Let’s start with making everyone pay their fair share of Social Security, to keep it solvent for those of us who are not in the top 1%. Most seniors, would be devastated by any reduction in our monthly income. Please address this issue NOW!
