Demand a full, transparent investigation into ICE's 40-hour occupation of the Taskers Chance neighborhood in Frederick, Maryland, and hold the agents responsible for violence against protesters accountable. This wasn't a targeted enforcement action — ICE never arrested anyone. They terrorized a neighborhood for two days, then attacked people exercising their constitutional right to protest. On Friday night, agents charged protesters, beat at least one person on the ground with a baton, and drove vehicles onto the sidewalk, forcing people to scatter to avoid being run over. Frederick City Council President César Díaz and Vice President Katie Nash were both present and nearly hit. Protesters were hospitalized. DHS responded with a boilerplate statement that didn't address a single specific action taken that night. Representative April McClain Delaney has already called for immediate answers — that investigation needs to happen now, with real consequences. An agency that occupies a neighborhood for 40 hours, uses force against civilians, and leaves without a single arrest is not enforcing the law. It's intimidating a community.
