Demand a full congressional investigation into the FBI's raid on the Ohio Organizing Collaborative and the broader DOJ campaign targeting voter registration groups ahead of the midterms. This is voter suppression dressed up as law enforcement, and it needs to stop now. The FBI spent hours at the OOC's Cleveland office, seized documents and computers, and sent agents to staff members' homes — all targeting a grassroots organization that has done nothing more than register voters and advocate for racial justice since 2007. Board member Prentiss Haney called it exactly what it is: intimidation. This raid fits a clear pattern: FBI seizures of election records in Georgia, Arizona, and Michigan; interrogating election workers in Wisconsin; and the DOJ suing 30 states to extract sensitive voter data including partial Social Security numbers. Voter registration fraud allegations are handled at the state level. The federal government has no legitimate business running these operations weeks before a contested Ohio election. Kash Patel must answer to Congress for weaponizing the FBI against democratic participation. Ohio voters are watching. The midterms are coming. Every day without accountability is another day this administration is allowed to use federal law enforcement to tilt an election. Hold public hearings, subpoena the relevant officials, and make every detail of these raids public record.
