No masks, body cameras required, and real accountability now

To: Sen. Marshall, Sen. Moran, Rep. Davids

From: A constituent in Prairie Village, KS

February 5

No federal agency should operate in our communities behind masks or without body cameras. Identification, recording, and transparency are basic requirements for lawful enforcement and public trust—not optional policies. Any funding must be conditioned on clear standards: agents must be identifiable, body cameras must be worn during all field operations, footage must be preserved and accessible for oversight, and violations must trigger independent investigation and prosecution. Accountability protects constitutional rights, reduces abuse, and keeps both the public and officers safer. I urge you to withhold funding until these safeguards are mandatory and enforced, and to demand real consequences for misconduct.
