To permit, ignore, or excuse harm against innocent children is not only immoral—it is complicit in the crime. Anyone who turns a blind eye to these abuses, whether by inaction or by supporting policies that enable them, is aiding and abetting this evil. It is your duty as a representative to hold ICE accountable, to ensure transparency, and to push for the immediate closure of these abusive detention centers. We must treat all children with dignity and compassion, regardless of their immigration status. Anything less is a betrayal of America’s values and the teachings of Christ. I urge you to act swiftly and decisively to protect these children and to end the systemic abuses within our immigration system.
