I’m writing to make it clear: if you vote for the so-called "Big, Beautiful Bill," you will lose my support—permanently. I’ve had enough of this Congress’s failure to stand up to Donald Trump’s authoritarianism, and this bill appears to be yet another surrender to his corrupt, anti-democratic agenda. The name alone—"Big, Beautiful Bill"—sounds like a bad joke, but the consequences of this legislation are deadly serious. Instead of protecting our institutions, you’re enabling a man who has openly praised dictators, attacked the rule of law, and tried to overturn elections. If you side with him now, you’re complicit in the destruction of the democracy you swore to defend. This is my line in the sand. Vote for this bill, and I will not only withdraw my vote—I will actively campaign against you and encourage others to do the same. The future of this country is at stake, and I refuse to support anyone who aids its downfall.
