I have all my congressmen on copy of this message. If I could put all of Congress on copy, I would.
Guys, what are we doing? I understand that you're all in some hyperpartisan headspace, and I'll have to get messages back from each of you, even Senator Fetterman who I trusted to know better, to the effect that you acknowledge my concerns but don't share them, that law enforcement is above reproach, that the murdered observer was to blame.
But, guys. What are we doing.
I'm not asking you to lower the temperature. The temperature is not going anywhere. The federal government is murdering its citizens. This guy that got murdered today--not the first murdered citizen--had the audacity to own a firearm legally, so he received an extrajudicial death sentence for that. Many Americans own a firearm legally. The NRA is, not surprisingly, adapting a hyperpartisan stance but we all know that if they were remotely ideologically consistent, they would be enraged. I am certainly enraged on behalf of Minnesotans.
What are we doing.
This has to end, guys. Enough.
