Elon Musk and Governor Greg Abbott publicly celebrating an employee’s firing over pronoun use is cruel and unprofessional. Respecting pronouns is basic decency, and punishing someone for it creates a hostile, discriminatory workplace (The Guardian, March 6, 2025). No one should lose their job over personal identity, and no leader should be encouraging intolerance. This isn’t about free speech or efficiency—it’s about fostering division at the expense of real people.
