I hope you will strenuously object to the bill Brian Jones intends to introduce, limiting SB54, rather than strengthening and expanding the provisions to protect immigrants. Law enforcement needs to be under no illusions that any contact with Federal agents is prohibited. Under no circumstances should anything other than a judicial warrant be used. I also hope there is a way to make sheriffs comply with the regulations. I hope you will do absolutely everything you can to shield immigrants from the malevolent intentions of the federal government.
