God bless the Great People of Iran.” The lack of seriousness and self-regulation continues and is incompatible with the office he holds. Language such as “WHO KNOWS” and “We will find out…” is also an unserious effort that is more like a “commercial break” in TV series instead of international negotiations. For an action that is simply hours away, to send out what amounts to childish ‘teasers’ is so unbecoming the office – it’s embarrassing. Threats of violence and intimidation against civilian populations is against U.S. law. Sowing terror among a population is committing a war crime. Threatening to make our military carry out these actions is an indiscriminate attack and is a war crime. The Law of War requires division between civilian targets and military targets. Bombing everything is one of the most horrible war crimes imaginable. In fact, Pope Leo XIV strongly condemned the president’s threats against Iran, calling the rhetoric "truly unacceptable". He also stated that threats to destroy Iranian civilization and infrastructure violate international law. My gosh, when will Congress have hearings and start doing oversight? When will Congress start becoming the equal branch of power that you are? Would this be acceptable conduct from a president of a different party? I want to know if you’d support this type of behavior in wartime – because that’s where we are, lurching from these silly delays acting like we need to watch the ‘next episode.’ Come on – get serious. I want to know what do you think of the situation as it exists today, I want an answer. SOON.
