Stop Illegal bombing of Suspected Drug Vessels

To: Pres. Trump

From: A verified voter in Leawood, KS

December 1

I am writing to express my grave concern over the actions and statements made over the murderous strikes south of our border on suspected drug trafficking vessels. These actions have no legal basis in American law, and are blatantly illegal. Under SCOTUS Tennessee Vs Garner, it is unlawful to use deadly force against suspects to prevent escape, unless there is an imminent deadly threat against officers. Also under SCOTUS cases, Graham Vs Connor, use of force must be objectively reasonable given the totality of the circumstances. Being bombed for trafficking drugs is not reasonable. I am concerned this will become common in the mainland U.S. soon. Are law enforcement going to be allowed to kill drivers and their passengers suspected of trafficking drugs? Based on your administration’s actions this is considered. This administration needs to atop all strikes on these suspected drug vessels, comply with the Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) standards and comply with any investigation into these atrocities.
