I am writing to demand the immediate impeachment of the President. The fiscal and moral depravity of this administration has reached a terminal point, and your silence is becoming a signature on the death warrant of our Republic.
We are currently burning through nearly $2 billion a day to finance a war in Iran that no one asked for and that we cannot afford. Reports show that in just the first six days of this conflict, this administration blew $11.3 billion on munitions and operations. That is $11.3 billion spent on destruction while millions of Americans are currently losing their health insurance because this government "couldn't find the money" to extend the ACA’s enhanced premium tax credits.
The math of this betrayal is simple and sickening:
- For the cost of six days of bombing, we could have covered 3 million Americans on Medicaid for a year.
- The President is now asking for $200 billion more for this war—enough to cover 24 million people for a year.
Instead, you are letting families choose between insulin and rent while the President chooses which sovereign nation to bankrupt us against next. Gas is over $4.00, inflation is surging by another full percentage point because of this conflict, and the social safety net has been shredded to line the pockets of defense contractors.
This is not a policy disagreement. This is the systematic dismantling of the American future. If you do not move to impeach this President for this reckless, unbudgeted, and unauthorized carnage, you are telling every struggling family in your district that their lives are worth less than a Tomahawk missile.
Impeach or expect to be replaced by someone who will.
